The National Workers Union (NWU) is hosting an Orientation Seminar for Shop Stewards and Assistants who are understudying the Shop Stewards on Wednesday April 25, 2018.

This exercise is aimed at increasing the participants’ knowledge of trade union related principles and practices as well as to sensitize them about their rights, roles, responsibilities and duties as workers in a unionized environment.

Presentations will centre around the importance of union membership, responsibilities of Shop Stewards, and the process involved in collective bargaining. Union financing will be discussed as well as managing your health and your finances.

Forty- five (45) participants from National Workers Union branches throughout the island are expected to be in attendance. The activity commences with Registration from 8:30 a.m. at the Finance Administrative Centre, Point Seraphine, Castries.
