Over forty-five (45) clerical, technical and ancillary workers employed with Windward Island Gases Limited will now receive a nine percent (9%) general wage increase negotiated between the Management of the company and the National Workers Union (NWU). The increase which will be spread over the three-year (3) duration of the contract will be evenly distributed and compounded over time.

Secretary General of the NWU Cde Johann Harewood has disclosed that in addition to the general wage increase, workers will also benefit from Paternity Leave, Transportation Allowance and Meal Allowances, that is, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Allowance.

Arrangements are in process for the new industrial agreement to be signed shortly.
