Tourism workers employed with Soufriere Hot Wire Rides participated in a Secret Ballot Poll on May 8, 2018 at the company’s premises in Soufriere.

The ballot was administered by Senior Labour Officer from the Department of Labour in Vieux Fort, Mr. Joseph Joseph. Over fifty-eight (58%) of the workers voted in favour of having their interests protected and enhanced by the National Workers Union (NWU).

The NWU is awaiting a Recognition Certificate from the Department of Labour following which a general meeting of the workers will be scheduled to begin to plan the way ahead.
